Cirò Rosato DOC Organic 2023 750ml - Vigneti Vumbaca

100% Gaglioppo from clay-limestone soils. The grapes are destemmed and lightly pressed, before macerating in contact with the skins for 4/5 hours. It ferments in steel, where the must then ages for six months on fine lees. It is one of the wines of the Cirò Revolution, a movement of young producers that promotes the return to tradition and a protection of the Calabrian identity.

Vumbaca Vineyards

After years in Rome in a law firm, Christian Vumbaca returned home to Cirò, where the people of the past sowed the foundations of modern civilization. In the place where the Greeks produced and exported wines in the distant past, today Cirò is the scene of a splendid project to recover the oldest vines, cultivated with spurred cordon but above all with saplings to protect the bunches of grapes from the warm southern sun.
