Elstar - French Apple

Elstar apples, a popular variety grown in France and other parts of continental Europe, are known for their balanced sweet-tart flavor, crisp, juicy, and creamy white flesh, and distinctive marbled red-over-yellow skin. Developed in the Netherlands in the 1950s from Golden Delicious and Ingrid Marie parents, this medium-sized dessert apple is excellent for fresh eating, making sauces, and baking, and can be stored for several months.
