Barbaresco DOCG 750ml - Marziano Abbona

One of the most prestigious and well-known wines of the Langhe, Barbaresco is made from Nebbiolo grapes grown northeast of the city of Alba, near the Tanaro River. Powerful without ever being overbearing, it's a substantial and convivial wine, refined and mellow.

FIRST YEAR OF PRODUCTION:
1996

VINIFICATION:
Destemming and pressing, followed by spontaneous alcoholic fermentation using indigenous yeasts in contact with the skins in temperature-controlled steel tanks. Dry racking and racking into oak barrels.

MALOLACTIC FERMENTATION:
Completely carried out in barrel immediately after alcoholic fermentation.

AGING:
In barrels for an extended period, followed by blending in steel, filtration, and bottling. It then ages in the bottle at a constant temperature of 14°C for several months before being released for sale.

CHARACTERISTICS:
Garnet red in color with ruby highlights that turn orange with age, it is a smooth and mellow wine with delicate tannins that are never invasive or aggressive. The aromas reveal notes of ripe red fruit with a light spicy note. The barely perceptible acidity adds a touch of freshness. Serve at 18°C, after bringing the bottle to a warmer temperature 24 hours before drinking.
